Primary Houseparent Couple

We are looking for married Christian couples who are called to meet the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the children God sends to us. We serve boys and girls who need a home because of circumstances outside of their control, not because of anything they have done wrong.

At Homes of Hope for Children, we know that House-parenting is a rewarding career and an opportunity to make the difference in the lives of hurting boys and girls.

Primary house parents attend to the day-to-day needs of the children placed in their assigned cottages. This includes preparing meals, ensuring school and church involvement, attending any school or church parent meetings, transporting to and attending sporting events and community activities, and all other daily tasks associated with providing a godly home that leads children to know and love Christ.

The housing that is provided on campus is second to none for direct care staff. Within the cottage, houseparents are provided a private 1,600 sq/ft apartment on campus with a 3-bedroom, two bathrooms apartment including kitchen and laundry facilities and walk-in closet.

The couples that serve on campus receive paid vacation days on a rotating schedule. Benefits include:

The base salary for this position is $65,000 per couple.

Houseparent positions require high energy, a sense of humor, flexibility, and organization, as well as the ability to respond to children's emotions in order to meet the demands of a large family in a Christlike manner.

• A desire to minister in a missionary environment
• High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
• Good human relations skills
• Current valid Driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Qualify to get a fingerprint clearance card
